Nice meeting everyone today! Don't forget tomorrow's class is in N-41 where we will be for the rest of the semester. Below, please find the writing assignment for tomorrow just in case you "misplaced" it! Also, don't forget to read "Salvation"!
After practicing writing our partners’ stories in class
today, I want you to continue to work on your story telling skills by writing
your own story tonight. Please pick one
specific day in your life that stands out in your memory for some reason. It might just be something really funny that
happened to you, or it might be a defining moment, but the important thing is
that it is one event that happened in one day.
Write the story of that day and try to make the audience
(your classmates) feel as if they were there.
Write the story in present tense, as if it is happening right now, so
that we can experience it with you.
Don’t forget to set the scene and describe the characters.
Length: 2-3 pages typed, double space, 12 font. Please follow the MLA format for papers
pasted below:
All
papers must be typed, double spaced, and have 1 inch margins, 12 font, and be
in Times New Roman. In the top left hand corner of your paper:
Your name
The professor’s name
(Prof. Mastrantonio)
The course name (Eng
099)
The date
The
title of your paper (centered)
You also
should put a header that displays your name and the page number (starting on
page 2). The header belongs in the top right
hand corner.
PLEASE BRING IN ONE
HARD COPY OF THIS DOCUMENT AND ONE SAVED TO YOUR FLASH DRIVE – WE WILL BE WORKING ON IT IN THE COMPUTER
LAB TOMORROW.
