ESSAY ONE
Thinking: During the past few days, I have been asking you
to write about your stories and texts that you are familiar with in your
everyday life. Now I want you to use
these writing to shape an essay that uses your story and the outside text to
express a main idea. Remember, in an
essay each part, each detail, must have some significance for your main
idea. TO write this essay, you must
consider what the implication of your story is, and how the text that you are
using helps us understand something about your main idea.
Writing: Go back through you previous papers, and decide
which parts of your writing you are going to use. You may cut and paste pieces into your rough
draft, but you must add in much of your current thinking about your idea. This
essay should be about an idea that you are communicating through telling us
your story and using an outside text.
